In the City of New York one does not need a permit to shoot a .22 caliber rifle. At Westiside we offer the opportunity for novices to experience the excitement of firing a .22 caliber rifle. Requirement: 18 years of age or older Fee: $50.00

Above fee will provide you with:

• NRA certified firearms instructor
• Targets
  
• Ruger 1022 semi-automatic rifle
• 50 rounds of .22 cal ammunition

During the first visit one is required to take the safety course in the classroom and have an instructor on the firing line with them. Return visits past 3 months of your last visit require you to attend a refresher course.

Return visits to Westside are $25.00 Additional targets and ammunition optional.

For 1st visit to Westside, management requests that you call ahead of time to schedule an appointment.

At West Side, Safety is our highest concern. As such the range strictly enforces its safety policies. At ant time should you need a review of general firearm safety / handling our knowledgable staff will me more than glad to assist you.

West Side Rifle & Pistol, in accordance with the NYPD, will not allow any members or club affiliates on the premise who does not have a trugger lock on his or her firearm. Members and affiliates must have trigger lock and properly locked cases for their firearm(s).

All members / club affiliates must present to the on duty range officer:

-His / Her membership I.D. card and current pistol license.

-All members, club affiliates or law enforcement officer must print in the range log book clearly and neatly.

Failure to comply with NYPD Accordance will result in suspension of licensed and revocation of membership at Westside range.

• Calibers: standard .22 .38 9MM .45 only No magnum, hardball, steel jacket or military ammo allowed.
• Upon entering range handguns and rifles must be unloaded with actions open.
• Keep your guns pointed downward.
• Horseplay / unsafe firearms practice is not allowed.
• Spectators are not allowed on the firing line.

Welcome to the Westside Rifle & Pistol Range. Having served the New York metropolitan area for over 35 years, Westside has evolved into a fill service shooting range that caters to a variety of shooters. Our members include hobbyists, hunters, and members of the law enforcement community.

Those  choosing to purchase accessories for their firearms do not have to travel very far because Westside has a store on the premises that will cater to one's shooting needs. If the product that you are looking for is not readily available range personnel will let you know if and when it can be ordered. Members and those bearing a vaild New York State or New York City firearms permit can purchase custom made handguns and rifles or different brand name guns through range personnel who are licensed Federal Firearms dealers. For those needing maintenance or repair work done on their firearms can confer with range personnel who are certified gunsmiths. Work not able to be done on the premises can be sent out.
